For groups who want to manage risk and know where each dollar is spent, self or shared funding plans are a great option. We work with you to design a plan that meets your needs. We also regularly review your plan and provide guidance - we work with you, but you have control.


Self-funding*

HAP can help your company with self-funding plan administration by offering guidance with risk management, claims management and compliance. Every claims payment is made known to you and is available online 24/7. We also provide detailed reports daily, monthly and/or annually. Because HAP manages the plan and administers all claims, the data we collect can be used to provide comprehensive benefit and utilization reports.

Shared-funding*

With shared-funding, a monthly funding level is established that can be budgeted much like a premium. This approach makes it possible for smaller companies - as few as 51 employees - to take advantage of the economics of self-funding, just as many larger companies have done for years. For example, set premium taxes are not assessed on claim payments and if claims do not reach the funding limit, the group retains those funds.
