Because HAP manages the plan and administers all claims, the data we collect can be used to provide comprehensive benefit and utilization reports.
With shared-funding, a monthly funding level is established that can be budgeted much like a premium. This approach makes it possible for smaller companies - as few as 51 employees - to take advantage of the economics of self-funding, just as many larger companies have done for years. For example, set premium taxes are not assessed on claim payments and if claims do not reach the funding limit, the group retains those funds.
